Hey sports fans, it is once again time to start thinking about football. For the past 25 years, Cheney has fielded a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade teams and are a part of the South Central Youth Football League. South Central Youth Football league is a league made up of like size schools in South Central Kansas.
Our main objective, like other youth sports, is to promote safety, sportsmanship, camaraderie, and physical fitness. In addition, we are playing in a competitive league and likewise promote competition. Coaches are required to complete a Heads Up Football course and tests to become certified. The course covers safe tackling techniques to help athletes develop the proper form in their early playing years. It also teaches coaches what to watch for in terms of injuries and how to treat them should they occur. By providing a wholesome environment for athletic competition, we strive to instill in our youth the challenge thereof, the joy of victory, the reality of defeat, the importance of commitment, and the spirit of community.
That being said, the main goal of the program is for every player to continue to play football year after year, and the only way to achieve this goal is to first and foremost make sure the kids are having fun!
As we approach another season, we look forward to seeing the kids on the field learning the game. The success of the program is largely due to a shared vision of having little league football in Cheney. In closing, we would like to thank in advance all of the coaches, board members, countless volunteers, and parents for making this a reality.

The registration fee is $107 per player. Completed registration/consent forms are due by no later than July 1, 2025. Late fees of 25.00 will be applied to the balance if received after July 1, 2025. No exceptions.

Pending Transaction #2- $100.00- Security Deposit on Concessions/Chains Shift/Fundraisers/Equipment
Please Note:
Transaction #2 is 100% refundable to you at the end of the season if/when equipment is checked in.
Equipment needs to be cleaned and in the same condition in which it was checked out in upon returning; otherwise the deposit will not be refunded. Plus you have fulfilled your assigned concession/chain shifts and fundraiser involvement.
